Minimal additional ingredients are used, with pure batter charred to a crispy and delicately sweet texture. These also make for excellent souvenirs. Cantonese congee is one of the must-have breakfasts in Kinmen. For those visiting Houpu small town, there are many options to choose from, each with its own characteristic. The salted rice cake fry, another famous Houpu snack, may resemble steamed radish cake at first glance. However, it is primarily made from rice, taro, and seasoning. The cakes are meticulously sliced by the vendor to suit easy consumption, making them a perfect accompaniment for a stroll.
