Ma Gong Brown Sugar Cake Tourism Factory, formerly known as Zhen Yu Food, was founded by Hong Wen-Fu with a spirit of localization, a caring for hometown and a focus on humanistic literacy. The founder specially adopted the homophone of "Ma Gong" (the name of a city in Penghu) as the brand name "Ma Gong" (also known as "Ma Kung" or 媽宮), hoping that tourists could have a deeper understanding of the local culture when visiting Penghu. The factory combines display, education, and sightseeing entertainment functions. When visitors taste the freshly made brown sugar cakes, they can also learn about the making and preservation process of the cakes, and experience the Penghu pastry culture in a relaxed way.
