The shrine at the end of Zhuangli Street, dedicated to the guardian deity Galian, is an important temple in the Xiluo area. The persona of Galian resembles that of the City God, overseeing all yin‑yang affairs within Xiluo Castle. Every year, on the 18th day of the tenth lunar month, the Galian Temple holds the “Thanksgiving for Safety” ceremony, after which the surrounding villages take turns in offering thanks to the deity.
