The Old Lake Port Catholic Church was built in 1959 and was constructed by Italian priest Father Massimo Testa. The main building is made of reinforced concrete, elevated on a small hill. The facade features vertical lines, which highlights the sacredness and sublimity of the church. Under the entrance platform and between the two staircases, there is a space similar to a niche, where a statue of the Virgin Mary is ingeniously placed, forming the focal point of the church. As the old street declined, the church also experienced a period of abandonment. However, after efforts from various parties, the church agreed to change the use of the Old Lake Port Catholic Church and renovate it for reuse. In addition to the main building, the priest's residence was converted into a community center. The Old Lake Port Catholic Church will be more integrated with the Old Lake Port and old street areas.
