The Fuqing Bicycle Path is Matsu's first dedicated road for cyclists and pedestrians, funded by the Taipower Zhuoshan Power Plant community improvement program and completed in 2008. It runs along the coastline, stretching continuously from Fuao to Shihshui, an 800-meter-long trail. During the day, Fuao Port is visible in the distance; at night, the area is illuminated and attracts fish, becoming a favorite fishing spot whispered about among locals. With the completion of the Zhuoshan Power Plant, the Fuqing Bicycle Path can now extend from Shihshui to Juruo. The flat terrain of the road is not only suitable for easy cycling but also a favorite place for locals for exercise and leisurely walks. The path features wooden boardwalks for pedestrians, red brick-paved bicycle lanes, and small pavilions lining the coastal route.
