桃園市中壢區高鐵北路一段6號
Situated approximately 10 kilometers from Taoyuan International Airport, Taoyuan Station on the Taiwan High-Speed Rail (THSR) plays a crucial role as a transportation hub due to its geographical advantage. Referred to as the "entrance to the airport," it efficiently connects international and domestic travelers with the dual metropolises of New Taipei/Taipei and southern/central Taiwan. In recent years, the passenger traffic at Taoyuan THSR Station has shown a steady annual increase, with an average daily in-and-out traffic of over 30,000 passengers. Annual 2024 figures have already surpassed 27 million entries and exits, highlighting its critical transfer position. With convenient connections to external transportation, the station is accessible via National Highway 2 and Provincial Highway 31. Public transportation options include THSR fast buses linking Taoyuan and Zhongli, as well as U-Transit, Taoyuan Bus, Zhongli Bus, and Yatai Bus routes serving Taoyuan International Airport, Taoyuan City Government, and Taoyuan Baseball Field among many others. The recent opening of the Taoyuan Metro Airport Line has significantly enhanced the station’s connectivity. Passengers can now conveniently buy tickets at the THSR station and transfer to the metro, saving substantial time and alleviating congestion. Recently, the Qingpu THSR Special District has seen a marked improvement in leisure facilities. The 30,000-ping Taoyuan International Baseball Field, the multifunctional Eco Park Qingtangyuan, and the first American-style open-air shopping mall, Huatien Prime, have joined the landscape. Over 30 parks lie within this area, along with a 10-kilometer loop cycling-only pathway, making it a top destination for cyclists. Taoyuan THSR Station has also transformed into an ideal rest stop for those on two wheels. Beyond cycling, the station attracts many photography enthusiasts. Inspired by the concept of "palace lantern," its architectural design features expansive glass curtain walls, 8-meter steel supports, and lightings that resemble glowing lanterns, symbolizing the imagery of "illuminating Taoyuan, embracing the global world." It is definitely worth visiting.
