Jiu Ling Dessert is a dessert shop founded by a post-90s male dessert enthusiast who decided to return to Chiayi to start his own business. The shop is themed around cream puffs, also known as "angel's bells," and was the first cream puff specialty store in Chiayi when it was established in 2020. Although it is located on Guangcai Street, a quieter old house street in Chiayi City, the owner invested in hiring a renowned design company, Xiao Fu Qiang, to create an elegant atmosphere with a blue and dark wood color scheme, paired with dreamy white lace curtains, showcasing a French retro style. If you happen to walk by this street, you will be surprised to find a dessert shop that only sells cream puffs. Upon entering, you will be greeted by the warm and sweet aroma of baked goods. As a cream puff specialty store, Jiu Ling Dessert offers not only the signature original flavor cream puff but also various flavors such as matcha, coffee, apricot, cocoa, earl grey, and Thai tea, developed in-house. Occasionally, they also release limited-edition flavors, such as the Mini cream puff, which is more difficult to produce but perfect for a single bite. They also launch limited-edition gift boxes with assorted flavors for different holidays. Since the dessert chef at Jiu Ling Dessert works alone, it's best to make a reservation in advance if you have a preferred cream puff flavor.
