2016 Hakka Capital Certified Restaurant Signature Dishes: Lotus Set Meal, Hakka-style “Tiao-yu,” and Spicy “Tiao-yu”
“Leave the city’s hustle behind—come spend a weekend at the Lin Family Historic Estate Farm,” says Mr. Lin, the fifth-generation owner. Once a trader, he returned to his hometown by chance, and, loving nature and good food, transformed three hectares into a leisure farm. Weekdays and weekends alike offer lively or laid-back activities: barbecues, earth-oven roasting, lotus-pond tours, and heritage walks.
Seasonal classics: Mr. Lin created a new set menu called “Tiao-yu” (“picked fish”). The species changes with the seasons, always plump and weighing 600–700 g—perfect for the custom cast-iron serving vessel. Collagen-rich fish stay intact and grow tastier the longer they simmer. There are two versions: Hakka-style and spicy. Diners, unable to choose, often order both and feast!
Food safety is our promise: everything is cooked to order from fresh ingredients; the boss only serves what he himself will eat, with no additives…
