Located in Gongliao District, New Taipei City, the Yanliao Coastal Park (Lanwan Coastal Recreation Area) covers an area of 80 hectares and is the largest recreational spot in the northeastern region. The park stretches for 3 kilometers to the golden coast of Fulong, which is also the most unique in Taiwan. It is suitable for various recreational activities such as swimming, sand sculpture, beach volleyball, and shore fishing. Yanliao was the first landing point during the Japanese colonization of Taiwan, and an 8.8-meter "Yanliao Anti-Japanese Memorial Monument" has been erected on the beach to commemorate the heroes who bravely resisted the Japanese landing. The area is equipped with public facilities, and in the future, it will be connected to Fulong to form a complete recreational belt, with scenic platforms, footpaths, and bike lanes along the way, providing a variety of recreational options even for those who do not swim.
