Near Tammen Port, a building that resembles the shape of a sea turtle stands in the southeast of Wang'an Island. Upon entering, the natural ecology of Wang'an Island becomes fully visible, with migratory birds and conservation animals taking center stage. Naturally, the highlight is the critically endangered "green turtle." In addition to showcasing turtle species' identification markers and their habitats, the museum presents intriguing exhibits on the connection between sea turtles and local folk rituals known as "New Year's Turtle Blessing Ceremony." Notably, at the entrance of the exhibition hall stands the "Hao Shang Tang" stone stele; its inscription records how 130 years ago, local gentry in Wang'an Island raised funds to protect sea turtles and farm cattle, establishing clear regulations for subsidizing and rewarding residents who showed compassion toward life, while simultaneously requesting the government to impose severe penalties for violations, reflecting a balanced approach of benevolence and authority. This inscription has since become a crucial historical artifact attesting to early conservation efforts by ancestors. Entering the Green Turtle Tourism Conservation Center, the exhibition hall is the first sight. To the right lies the audio-visual room, which screens green turtle ecological videos on the dot every hour from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM daily. Group tours with ten or more people may also arrange guided interpretations in advance, transforming the learning and visiting experience into an intellectually engaging journey.
