The Yangmingshan American Community Club is located in the American military dependents' housing area next to the University of Taipei, within the larger community of military personnel and their families stationed in Taiwan during the 1950s and 60s. The club was originally built on the site of the Yangmingshan Club.
Under the initiative of the Cultural Affairs Bureau of the City of Taipei to promote the "Old House Cultural Movement," Yu-De Technology took on the task of rebuilding the Yangmingshan American Community Club. The venue has been transformed into an art and cultural space that combines exhibitions, performances, and a restaurant. On weekdays, visitors can drop by for free during open hours; on weekends and holidays, admission is granted with the purchase of food or drinks. The club is a place rich in cultural and historical significance. (Some information courtesy of the Yangmingshan American Community Club's official website)
