Located in the Metropolitan Park of New Taipei City, the "Bear and Monkey Forest Fun Park" newly opened in July 2020. The park covers an area of 4 hectares and combines Taiwanese characteristic animal images to create the largest, age-integrated slope slide park in Taiwan. The park features a total of 31 large and small slides and over 100 sets of recreational facilities. It is not only a paradise for kids to play from morning till night but also an excellent place for adults and children to relax and have fun together.
National treasure animals become children's playmates.
When viewed from a high altitude, the Bear and Monkey Forest Fun Park presents a colorful sky, mountains, forests, and streams with different themes. Taiwan's national treasure animals are transformed into large recreational facilities, hidden in each theme. Examples include the Taiwanese pheasant grinding stone slide, the Taiwanese blue magpie climbing net, the cherry blossom hook mouth salmon climbing seat, and the Taiwanese black bear swing. The nearby explanatory signs introduce the animal's name, habits, and size, achieving the effect of learning through play. The other side of the explanatory signs provides detailed information on the suitable age and precautions for the recreational facilities, allowing children to explore and play safely in the interesting and challenging playground. The diverse and cute animals also make it a great spot for adults to take photos.
Thoughtful design, okay for nighttime play.
The Bear and Monkey Forest Fun Park has established parent-child restrooms and multiple barrier-free paths, providing a thoughtful design for tourists to enjoy. Currently, the park's operating hours are from 6 am to 10 pm. It is recommended to visit in the evening during the hot summer, and the sufficient lighting at night makes it a great playground for kids' nighttime parties.
Enjoy both land and water fun.
In the summer of 2022, the "Hai Shi Jie Water Park" covering an area of 1500 square meters opened. The design continues the concept of the Bear and Monkey Forest Fun Park, featuring Taiwanese characteristic animals as the theme, and creates 7 large Taiwanese characteristic aquatic creatures, such as green sea turtles, Wangli crabs, mudskippers, hermit crabs, Penghu octopuses, sea jellyfish, and garden eels. The water park uses anti-slip flooring to ensure visitor safety and welcomes the public to bring water guns for a fun summer.
