"The Deformed Cook" - A Savory Delight
How strange is the deformed cook? It's not about the strange smell, but local specialties! A restaurant specializing in eel and squid dishes next to the Mazu Temple in Tuku, Yunlin, was founded by a person whose left hand was deformed due to a burn, and the locals affectionately called him "the deformed person." He secretly developed a broth made with "Chinese cabbage from the west gate" and used it to make a soup to stew squid, eel, and red meat. The resulting dish was so delicious and popular that it became a neighborhood favorite.
