The temple’s architecture itself carries a European romantic feel, distinct from the typical Chinese style of traditional Buddhist temples. Among them, the main hall in Baroque style stands out most majestically. A mountain trail circles the back of the temple, offering a quiet environment far removed from worldly noise. The scenery around Pilu Chan Temple is especially beautiful—particularly the “Pilu Dawn Bell,” which was once listed among the eight scenic spots of former Taichung County. Nearby, visitors can also stroll to Hualu Horse Race Course and the Hufeng Iron Horse Trail. These are must-see spots for those who enjoy religious tourism and nature.
**Note:** Because there are few streetlights along the route and snakes can appear on the mountain paths, it is not recommended to visit after 5 p.m.
