Following the SanKeng Iron Trail leads directly to Daping Red Bridge, a structure once voted one of the Top 100 Historical Buildings in the Nation. Located in Sankeng Village, Longtan District, the bridge got its name because the entire structure is built with red bricks. Originally constructed in 1923, it was initiated by the residents of Daping and Sankeng villages. The project was funded through subsidies from the local township government (then the district office), donations from villagers, and contributions from the Japanese. Built by the Daikyo Construction Company, it employed the same glazed bricks used in the Taoyuan Great Irrigation Project construction as its building material. The bridge spans over Taitiekeng Creek and is about ten meters long. It once served as the primary connecting route for Daping residents to the outside world, featuring five elegant arches and remaining in perfect condition to this day. The area surrounding Daping Red Bridge has now been planned as a waterside park, making it a great place for recreation.
