From the Visitor Center heading south, you'll enter the area of Sun Moon Lake. A bike path has been built here. The route offers rich ecology, forest, and on a clear day, you can see the distant Ci'en Pagoda. Since boats are not allowed in this water area, it's perfect for cycling or walking and feeling the tranquility. The annual National Rowing Championships held during the summer vacation take place in the Yueya Bay area of Sun Moon Lake. If you happen to see a rowing competition here, don't hesitate to cheer for the contestants.
