Shih Hsing-hui, known for his clay work titled *Fangjia*, was born in 1963 in Luogang, Taiwan. His works have been honored with the National Folk Art Awards in the 2nd and 3rd sessions. His philosophy of creation is: "he refuses to create works that do not move himself." Over two decades of dedicated pottery-making, he continuously reflected on his relationship with the land, life, and creation. By exploring everyday people, events, objects, and locations, as well as drawing inspiration from subtle emotions in surrounding life, he gradually infused scenes and items from his everyday experiences into his works through years of refinement.
