In the spacious and bright factory, each operator wears a uniform and a mask while operating the machinery. However, this facility does not produce technological gadgets; it manufactures the Saint Paul Q Cakes, which have been recognized as one of the national top ten gift items and were founded in 1991. Carefully selected from Pingtung Wandan red bean paste, each cake is wrapped in Q‑elastic mochi, and then filled with a mixture of Beigang red‑clay duck egg yolks and Alishan black pork jerky. The outer shell uses the European biscuit‑making technique, resulting in a crust that is crisp on the outside and richly savory on the inside—a beloved national dish. Another hugely popular item is the dense taro mousse cake, made from 100 % pure taro, with reduced sugar and no added preservatives. Its silky, dense texture delivers a buttery, solid mouthfeel that will keep you praising it. The sunshine, rainfall, fresh fruit, and vibrant hospitality of southern Taiwan are all carefully kneaded and baked by Saint Paul, following the European biscuit‑making tradition.
