The indigenous people of Wufeng Township still refer to the Heping Community as Mabaylai, which is one of the four original villages of the Tayal people in Wufeng. The community features over 10 natural waterfalls that are perfect for SPA activities. Walking along the lush trails, surrounded by trees and breathing in the phytoncides, is incredibly refreshing and makes Heping a new popular tourist destination in Wufeng. Local specialties such as stone lotus flowers, pastoral cuisine, and high-altitude vegetables and fruits are highly favored by tourists. The Heping Community in Wufeng Township is renowned for preserving the original Tayal culture. The community has built various unique structures, including bamboo birdhouses, bamboo houses, and bamboo signposts, using locally sourced bamboo. These distinctive cultural artifacts immediately immerse visitors in the warm and vibrant atmosphere of the indigenous community. Heping Community boasts three famous trails, with the Guyean Waterfall Trail being the most renowned. The Mabaylai Trail, located beside the Guyean Waterfall Trail, was once an important route for local residents. Although a convenient road now connects the community, the trail still holds significant value and meaning for the residents. The Guize Mountain Trail, situated in the center of Heping Community, is a paradise for hikers. From here, one can climb to the highest point of the community and enjoy a panoramic view of the entire Heping village. In addition to the community's original characteristics, the agricultural area is also known for its peaches and plums. During the harvest season, the mountain is covered with white paper bags filled with fruit, creating a beautiful and picturesque scene that resembles snowfall.
