Chung Tai Resource Technology was formally established in 2001, initially focused on the recycling and treatment of spent lighting. In 2008, the second plant in Taoyuan was opened, and in 2014 it became certified as an Environmental Education Facility—one of the most comprehensively planned such venues in the country.
In 2015, the Taoyuan “Industrial Culture Museum” was launched. Built around the concept of an “urban mine,” it employs the latest projection and interactive multimedia technology, letting visitors operate exhibits themselves to learn about resource recycling. Electronic-waste recycling and resource-recovery processes are opened to the public, guiding visitors step-by-step through the principles and practices of e-waste reuse, and demonstrating the importance of recycling and regeneration. Government agencies, universities, neighborhood communities, and foreign guests are all welcome to visit, spreading Taiwan’s world-leading green technologies abroad and working together for the sake of our planet.
Interactive multimedia games teach waste sorting and can be played in team competitions.
