Situated between Mingjian Township and Jiji Town, the 4.5-kilometer-long Zhongshu Road is the renowned Jiji Green Tunnel. These camphor trees planted in 1940 are remembered by local elders as having required tremendous care in the past to prevent them from wilting due to lack of water, as failure to do so would incur punishment. Water had to be painstakingly carried from streams daily to nurture them. Now, these lush camphor trees provide dense shade. Cycling among them offers an unparalleled sense of leisure; especially during the sweltering summer heat, one feels no scorching sunlight, truly embodying the saying "Those who plant the trees enjoy the shade long after." Along the path lies the sightseeing railroad, where a little train passes slowly, adding poetic charm. The spot is a favorite for many visitors and newlyweds to take photographs.
