Taiping Holiday Farmers’ Market (also known as Shoushan Temple Holiday Farmers’ Market) features premium in-season vegetables, showcasing the high-quality, self-sufficient produce of local farmers. Located beside the Shoushan Temple archway in Taiping Village, it is open every Saturday, Sunday, and national holiday from 9 a.m. to noon. The market is divided into a produce section offering locally and sustainably grown leafy greens, and a ready-to-eat section selling items such as fried rice noodles, mesona chicken, and shaved ice. The spacious grounds accommodate about twenty stalls. After exploring the Hubao Pond Scenic Area and enjoying Taiping’s mountain forests, visitors can relax at the Taiping Holiday Farmers’ Market and purchase top-quality local vegetables. Taiping Village boasts clean water and uncontaminated soil; its main crops include shiitake mushrooms, calla lilies, seasonal vegetables, and melons, with log-cultivated shiitake mushrooms being especially renowned.
