Back when 100,000 troops were stationed on Jinmen, it was a favorite haunt of the soldiers. The shop’s façade, made of traditional wooden doors joined together—already 50 years old—is a distinctive feature and a shared memory among customers, which is why the movie “Summer Times” was filmed here. Many veterans, returning to Jinmen as tourists, come back to the shop to rediscover the wonderful flavors of their memories.
