The battery is located at the junction of Sijiaoting and Keelung. Built during the Japanese colonial period, it served mainly as a military defense encampment; today only a few barracks ruins and bunkers remain. The barracks consist mostly of crumbling brick walls, while the bunkers are built of stacked stone, their bases entwined with tree roots. The New Taipei City Government has now designated the site as a Grade-3 municipal historic monument.
