Qingshuiyan Recreation Area is located in Shetou Xucuoliao. Its main attractions include the elegant and antique Qingshuiyan Temple (designated county monument), the shady Qingshuiyan Forest Recreation Area, the fully equipped Qingshuiyan camping area, and the winding, tranquil Evergreen Bike Path. The surrounding environment is lush with greenery and birdsong, rich in pristine beauty, making it one of the three famous rocky landmarks of central Taiwan. Architecturally elegant, Qingshuiyan Temple is a county-designated monument situated at No. 1, Qingshuiyan Rd., Qingshui Village, Shetou Township. Inside, it enshrines Sakyamuni Buddha and the South Sea Guanyin Bodhisattva. In front of the temple stand the Chunguang Pavilion and the Dragon Pond. The architecture is simple and refined, surrounded by protective walls, and it preserves many historic relics and couplets, making it an excellent place for both Buddhist devotion and historical exploration. The Evergreen Bike Path is located at an elevation of 125–395 m on the western foothills of the southern section of the Bagua Mountain Range. Winding through forests and fields, the entire route is an ideal venue for cycling tours and natural activities in central Taiwan.
