The Coconut Avenue is lined with large coconut trees, alongside azaleas, while camphor trees and Chinese junipers are planted between the avenue and school buildings. Walking along Coconut Avenue, with the green canopies arching over the sunrise, gives one a sense of heading towards a bright future, making it a unique urban spot to watch the sunrise. Near the College of Agriculture, there are many gardens of aquatic plants, vegetables, fruits, and herbs. The experimental farm also features interesting ecological restoration observations. The alleys near the campus are filled with mainstream bookstores and independent small bookstores, creating a rich humanistic atmosphere around National Taiwan University. The bookstores are also accompanied by a coffee culture, further enhancing the profound humanistic ambiance.
