National Central University is located in the Shuanglianpo area of Zhongli, spanning approximately 62 hectares. Due to its beautiful campus landscape and convenient location, it has become a filming site for many TV idol dramas. With the popularity of these dramas, National Central University is not only a campus, but also a favorite date spot for young people. Here, you can stroll under the pine forest trail of Baihua Creek, flanked by towering cypress trees, deeply inhale the sweet osmanthus fragrance carried by the wind, and effortlessly take in the vast grassy green fields, the willow-lined serene ripples of the Central Lake, and works of art by the renowned domestic sculptor Chu Min. Entering the campus through the main gate on Central University Road, the first sight encountered is the elliptical garden designed along a sloping terrain, with the four characters of "National Central University" woven together in golden榕trees. Its grandeur instantly brightens the eye. Continuing through the roundabout and stepping forward on your adventure takes you to the stone-paved "Baihua Creek Pine Grove Trail," along which are scenic platforms, leisurely seating, and lighting facilities. On the large grassy field beside the trail, you can admire Chu Min's famous copper sculpture, the "Tai Chi Archway," or on the expansive green meadow (known as the "Central Park"), discover a large, lush banyan tree with a full shape - named the "Cathay Tree" for its similarity to Cathay Life Insurance's iconic logo. These spots are all worth stopping to take pictures or commemorate the moment. At the trail's endpoint lies an open-air café. It is common on weekends to see travelers leisurely sipping coffee there, basking in the sunshine, while sounds of kites and frisbees flying nearby brim with cheer, creating a scene of effortless ease and relaxation. National Center University's uniquely beautiful campus has also been favored by several idol dramas: in "Promise at Eighteen," the hero and heroine tumble into Central Lake; "Peach Girl" features Wu Chenjun making a wish at the Cathay Tree; "Kill 17" portrays Zhou Shuhuan sitting by the Tai Chi Archway's grass field; in "Poor Nobles," actor Czai rides his bike down the Pine Grove Avenue... up to more recent dramas, such as the "City East University" in "My Freedom Era," which is actually the campus of National Central University. The romantic Baihua Creek has become the site of City East University's Christmas dance. Every Christmas season, the campus management installs vibrant lighting in this area to create a festive holiday ambience. Beyond the artistic atmosphere in the campus, there are two especially elegant fountain ponds. The shores are lined with a canopy of greenery, gently swaying in the wind, and a few scattered leaves on the ground add poetic charm. Groups of students or pairs of couples, strolling in the campus, enhance the romantic scenery.
