Built in 1875, during the first year of the Guangxu era of the Qing Dynasty, the Jingfu Temple initially was just a small temple of two-taels in size. In 1961, it exchanged land with the neighboring Tongyi Hotel for reconstruction. Later, due to the aging of the building, it underwent a large-scale renovation. Construction began in 2000, and it was built into a magnificent temple covering 200 taels, with three floors above ground and three floors below ground.   After the reconstruction, the Jingfu Temple pays great attention to architectural carvings. The dragon pillars in front of the main hall are handcrafted from a single piece of blue stone. The three-dimensional door gods on the temple gate are also carved from a single block of red sandalwood. The ceiling's decorative pattern uses a single piece of "auspicious dragon presenting blessings" carving to decorate, allowing believers to see the "green dragon" flying above when they look up during worship, which is very lifelike. The carvings of the "Eighteen Arhats" on both sides of the third-floor main hall integrate with the landscape, allowing each arhat to be seated within a landscape painting, presenting the beauty of religious art.   (Source: Jingfu Temple website)
