The Qinglong Mountain Range and Laru Island, symbolizing the Dragon Pearl, are surrounded by many legendary tales. The trail starts at the Hsuan Kuang Temple Wharf and concludes at the Tsere Tower, generally following the ridge line with a gradual ascent, offering a beautiful and picturesque view. The square in front of Hsuan Kuang Temple provides an excellent panoramic view, with Laru Island, Hanpi Peninsula, and the Shishen settlement landscape clearly visible. Along the trail, there are moss sculptures designed to take advantage of the warm and humid characteristics of Sun Moon Lake, such as a Mountain Gate, a small novice monk figure, a Sutra Book, and a Heart Sutra Plant Tray.
