Originally a connecting road between Tianzhong in Changhua and Mingjian in Nantou, it is now a hiking trail linking Tianzhong Township, Changhua County, to Beigong Temple. Together with the surrounding river valley and forest, it forms a belt-shaped recreational area called Chishuiqi Park. The trail is about 1.2 km long and is a gently sloping, tree-shaded path throughout; only the fork to the right that leads to Beigong Temple is a steep staircase. Benches and pavilions are provided along the way, where you can stop to enjoy the woods and look for insects and wild birds. From Beigong Temple you can overlook the lush forest and the townscape of Tianzhong; the temple also provides drinking water and public restrooms (availability may vary due to pandemic restrictions). In addition, several food stalls operate at the trailhead, making it ideal for leisurely public hiking.
