Simplified Chinese Japanese English Korean are built in a two-story structure with gray and white walls, and green roof tiles. This is Penghu Aquarium, located in Qitou Village, Baisha Township, Penghu. It was expanded from the former Fisheries Experimental Station. Inside the museum there are exhibition areas for coastal ecology, reef pools, and ocean pool ecology, among which the most eye-catching is the 14-meter-long arched underwater tunnel. You can stroll through the tunnel and admire various marine creatures. Facing the main entrance of the aquarium is a straight seawall that extends into the Taiwan Strait. This seawall was originally built by a Japanese pearl farm, and its unique wave-shaped form attracts many tourists for photos. However, if you want to take photos in the blue sea, remember to check the tide schedule first and choose the right tide time; otherwise, you will only find yourself on a damp muddy shore under your feet! On the east side of the aquarium, there is also Qitou Water Park, which is designed using tidal differences. Inside, there is a tidal zone walking area, a circular play pool based on tidal difference, and children's play equipment, allowing adults and children to observe tidal zone organisms together and learn about tidal forces. It is an educational and recreational area.
