Simplified Chinese: Japanese: English: Korean: The Twin Lakes Park was built by the Penghu military. Due to the low-lying wetlands and the continuous spring, the two large holes were transformed into artificial lakes: Kaoyuan Lake and Xiyuan Lake. A cement path, a pavilion, and many scenic trees were planted around the lakes. It now covers about 4 hectares and is the first lakeside park completed by the military, gradually turning a wasteland into a recreational park. The park mainly consists of a pond, planting, a path, and rest facilities. It not only provides water storage for the northern area, but also serves as a stopover for migratory birds to rest and feed. The abundant intertidal wetlands are often a resting place for migratory birds. Currently, this area has become one of the best winter habitats for migratory birds in Penghu County. The first county-level Spanish-style vegetable garden mausoleum of Penghu is located on the left side of the Twin Lakes Park, and the downstream outlet is a vegetable garden wetland. Facing the vegetable garden wetland’s birdwatching area, you can gaze at Fenggu, Wude, and the natural environment is very beautiful. The scenery is pleasant, making it a great spot for birdwatching. Rich in ecology, various bird species inhabit and forage here. The only important birdwatching area is currently listed as an important wetland conservation area. 【Suggested length of stay】 2 hours
