This is the first tourism factory in Yingge to pass the central government evaluation. Since its founding in 1926, it has witnessed the rise and fall of ceramic craftsmanship in Yingge. To commemorate Mr. Hsu Hsin-Wang’s lifelong legacy, the “Hsu Hsin-Wang Ceramics Memorial Museum” was established in Yingge in 2010, becoming the first tourism factory in the area certified by the Ministry of Economic Affairs. Inside, the museum is divided into four main experience zones: wheel-throwing, hand-building, overglaze painting, and mosaic collage. Additional areas include the Hsin-Wang wood-fired kiln and the production line (clay-preparation, slip-casting, and product-display zones). The factory preserves a wealth of historical artifacts; visitors can learn about the evolution of ceramic techniques and see—and even operate—antique gas kilns, jiggering machines, and foot-powered potter’s wheels. After its transformation, the factory now sells lively, creative ceramic products that reveal the limitless possibilities of pottery. On-site pottery workshops are available on a walk-in basis; instructors are enthusiastic and friendly, ensuring everyone can easily learn the craft. The experience offers a deep dive into the pottery industry and leaves travelers with joyful memories to take home.
