The Pinglin Farmers’ Association was founded in 1919, dedicated to promoting agricultural production and supporting farming conditions in the Pinglin District. Over the years, the association has undergone name changes and established a repair station, a tea-processing facility, and a tea-seed oil plant. In 2001, building on these foundations, it launched various hardware and software initiatives, developed a diverse range of tea products, and steered the association toward becoming a diversified, comprehensive service enterprise, opening direct-sale centers for local specialty products along the Beiyi Highway in Pinglin and in Banqiao District. In 2015, the Pinglin Farmers’ Association transformed again to establish the Pinglin Tea Industry Culture Museum, providing a venue for introducing the cultural knowledge of tea and tea-seed oil so that visitors can gain a deeper understanding of Pinglin’s industries and development.
