The Matsu Story Museum is located at the Matsu Daily Newspaper Society's site. To preserve and document the stories of Matsu's development, the Matsu Daily Newspaper Society plans to establish a historical data archive, including the publication of a special edition featuring photographs and stories from early Matsu, as well as a collection of Matsu news stories, creating an e-newspaper for Matsu, and establishing the Matsu Daily News Think Tank accessible to the public for reading and downloading. In 2005, the Matsu Daily Newspaper Society proposed the concept of building a news history museum to the central government. Subsequently, it received funding from the Council of Cultural Affairs, and the concept was expanded into the "Matsu Story Museum," significantly enriching the exhibition's content. The museum not only displays artifacts and photographs from Matsu during the era of the Martial Law Administration, allowing visitors to step into historical times, experience daily life on the frontline amid the cross-strait standoff, and feel the tense atmosphere of the frontline during that period, but also comprehensively showcases the collection using existing archives. The surrounding spaces are fully utilized to enrich and vividly present the content, offering visitors a unique and valuable experience that stands out.
