Qingbo Orchid Garden is located in Chengde Village, Wanluan Township. The site houses 8,000 ping of automated, climate-controlled greenhouses that strictly monitor the growing environment for orchid seedlings, including temperature, humidity, light, and ventilation, in order to produce high-quality Phalaenopsis. Because Qingbo Orchid Garden uses no pesticides—only natural fertilizers and a strong focus on preventing pests and diseases—the greenhouse is filled with lush green seedlings, and the blooming flowers are naturally beautiful. Nestled in the countryside, Qingbo Orchid Garden feels like a gorgeous hidden garden paradise.
Situated at the foot of a mountain, the area often experiences orographic rain in summer, resulting in high humidity that can trigger yellow-leaf and soft-rot diseases—conditions unfavorable for orchid cultivation. To counter these drawbacks, Qingbo Orchid Garden built automated greenhouses, sprays disinfectant, and uses fans to maintain airflow, greatly reducing disease incidence. The garden grows many orchid varieties—white, white-with-red-center, red, and novelty types—with “small white Phalaenopsis” being the most numerous, filling two entire greenhouse blocks. The resulting high-quality Phalaenopsis, prized for consistent excellence, are exported to Japan, the United States, and mainland China. Within Taiwan’s orchid industry, Qingbo Orchid Garden ranks among the largest growers and has earned the island a strong reputation for orchid cultivation.
