The houses along the South Cross Island Highway have their beams and pillars wrapped with Bunun tribal patterns, and the sidewalks are dotted with wooden and stone sculptures, exuding a warm and vibrant atmosphere. The village began to plan and build the Laofulan Bunun Art Village in 1999. Apart from securing funding and support from various government agencies, the community has also actively cultivated craft talents in traditional Bunun weaving, wood and stone carving, and ceramic art. The newly completed community cultural performance venue has further realized the ideal of the art village. In addition to large-scale events like the Bunun Ear Piercing Festival, the community regularly uses the performance venue for exchanges and performances, revitalizing community functions and making the Laofulan Bunun Art Village a reality. The "Laofulan Art Village Leisure Trail" located behind Laofulan Village takes about 30 minutes to complete. The trail is built with wooden sleepers and weaves through the countryside, offering a unique experience. At the highest point of the trail, there's a pavilion where you can rest and enjoy the view of the village.
