Located near the Xindian MRT Station, in the central area of Xindian District, New Taipei City, the Xindian River flows through here, forming a bright orange and green, calm and wide river surface. It is named "Bitan" (Green Pool). From the ferry terminal to Bitan Bridge, the area covers 27 hectares and is a historically significant tourist destination.
The western bank has steep cliffs and is known as the "Little Red Cliff." On the western side is the Love Pier, where visitors can enjoy swan boat rides, swimming in the pool, and taking an 8-person boat, experiencing the leisurely lifestyle of old water transportation. Recently, the area has been planned with a water-friendly path, stepped viewing platforms, and scenic observation decks. The original tea houses and shops have been renewed, forming a new riverside neighborhood that showcases an European riverside landscape, fully demonstrating the charming modern style of Bitan. Bitan has different charms during the day and night. During the day, the water activities are exciting; at night, the scenery is especially enchanting. The Bitan Bridge, decorated with colorful lights, looks like a rainbow crossing the water. The restaurants by the side are the most stylish places to rest, and with the charm of live music performances, Bitan at night becomes more beautiful as the night goes on!
