The Water Realm Grand Duke of the opening station, the Water Forest Transcendent Palace, is the chief deity of the Wen Household for a thousand years. It serves as the center of faith for the villages of Water North and Water South. According to local ancestral records, it was settled in Taiwan by Yan Siyi during the late Ming period, and the Grand Duke of Wen has a history of more than 300 years. Every five years during the Grand Duke’s festival, the locals must invite the Five-Year Millennium from Mount Ma Ming and the Mazu of Beigang to participate in the circumambulation.
