A Philosophical and Aesthetical Masterpiece ~ In order to create a unique and beautiful style, Chiayi Park incorporates common elements of traditional Southern Fujian architecture, appropriately showcasing them in the construction of the "Path of Walls". The design starts and ends with the Heavenly Stem Pavilion and the Earthly Branch Pavilion, symbolizing respect for the natural order of the universe. By repeating and rearranging the units, the park achieves a sense of "diversity within unity" in its spatial character. The entrance, "Heavenly Roundness and Earthly Squareness", and the octagonal and circular arches, etc., all reflect the Chinese people's profound cosmology and life philosophy of the past few thousand years. The surrounding walls are designed as low and short "cloud walls", which are easy to cross. The "cloud walls" are designed to be sit-on, lie-on, walk-on, and play-on, transforming their role from merely "enclosing" to resembling a rolling dragon, full of vitality and extremely distinctive.
