The New Taipei City Taipei Botanical Garden is a rare combination of diamond-level green building and top-notch horticultural experts in Taiwan. With humans, plants, and the environment as the main axis, the garden showcases plants from different parts of Taiwan according to their climate and region, depicting a microcosm of Taiwan's ecological environment. It is the only exhibit-type botanical greenhouse in Taiwan with the largest unit area of displayed species. The Taipei Botanical Garden features several exhibit areas, including: * The Taiwan Native Plant Area, showcasing local Taiwanese plant species * The Tropical/Subtropical Plant Area, featuring the charm of tropical islands * The Orchid and Fern Display Area, with a variety of blooming flowers * The Succulent Plant Area, with uniquely shaped plants * The Temperate Plant Area, offering a feast for the eyes and nose * The Alpine Plant Area, representing resilience and perseverance Additionally, within the Temperate Plant Area, there is a Begonia variety display, provided by Professor Peng Jingyi from the Academia Sinica, who spent 20 years collecting over 100 varieties from around the world.
