Botanical Garden

2024-04-11
台北市中正區南海路53號
The Botanical Garden was an important place for plant research during the Japanese colonial period. It covers about 8 hectares and preserves experimental plant species introduced from Taiwan, Japan, mainland China, and Southeast Asia at that time. Today, the garden's architecture and plant species have far surpassed their previous glory, with approximately 2,000 species of plants collected.

The Taipei Botanical Garden is divided into different zones according to the plant classification system and their characteristics. Each area is presented with different themes, and there are interpretive signs introducing rare flowers and plants, such as the lotus pond, the 12 Chinese zodiac area, the succulent plant area, the fern plant area, the Book of Songs plant area, the folk plant area, and the palm family area. As the seasons change, the forest scenery also varies, and each season has its unique charm. If you enter in the afternoon, the light and temperature will provide a more comfortable experience.
