Maolin Valley Waterfall is located at the end of the Lomus River Trail in Maolin District. The entrance to the Lomus River Trail is about 0.8 kilometers from the Lomus Bridge on the Lomus Road. "Lomusu" in the Rukai language means "beautiful valley" and is a tributary of the Zhuokou Stream. The trail winds and undulates with the mountain terrain. Along the way, one can enjoy the canyon scenery, the lush and green mountains, and butterflies flying all over the mountains. The sound of the gurgling stream water is accompanied by a cool and comfortable feeling. The trail is 4 kilometers long, but only 1.2 kilometers are currently open. After passing through a series of bamboo forest tunnels, you can reach the Maolin Valley Waterfall. The waterfall is magnificent and grand. Seeing such beautiful scenery with your own eyes is worth forgetting your worries. It is recommended to stay for about 1.5 hours. Be careful of mosquitoes and insects along the way.
