The Maolin Entrance Image Park is located on County Route 132 in Maolin District. It used to be the Maolin National Scenic Area Office, but has been rebuilt into the current park. From here, you can gaze at the Deluojia Bridge, the third-highest bridge in Taiwan, and witness the marvel of modern architecture. The park offers simple resting facilities for visitors to take a break during their journey.
The entrance sculpture garden preserves three flagpoles that were not washed away by the storm, symbolizing the spirit of perseverance and resilience in the face of adversity. The park's art installations feature three purple-spotted butterflies in flight, representing the three villages of Maolin District. They signify transformation, new life, and hope for a brighter future. At night, the park is adorned with dazzling light projections, adding to its charm. It's recommended to spend about 30 minutes here, resting in the park's pavilions or under the shade of trees and stone chairs while taking in the scenery of the streams and valleys.
