The Hsun-feng Artillery Battery, located behind the right side of Longshan Temple on Zhongshan Road, was an early fortress for the landing of ships engaged in relocation and trade from Fujian and Guangdong. It strategically dominated a critical point controlling the outlet where Fengshan Creek flows into Wenzheng River, a location of immense strategic importance. Today, only the large artillery platform remains. The battery's wall displays a circular arc shape and is primarily constructed of granite and gravel stones. The inscription "Hsun-feng" is embedded within the stone wall, while on either side, clay sculptures shaped like scrolls serve as decorative elements, adding an artistic touch to this rugged military structure.
