“Fei Fei is my cat; I named the place after her to honor the days we spent together,” the owner and pastry chef, Huang Kai-Jie, explains in a voice full of longing. After twelve years in manufacturing, he switched to baking out of pure interest. “I just love food,” he says shyly. Driven by that simple sentence, he took courses, honed his craft, and launched his own brand—“Fei Fei Cookie”—selling handmade cookies and desserts online and offering customized wedding favors. From the start he insisted on zero additives, wanting the purest flavors to move people and the simplest ingredients to speak to their taste buds. That same conviction still burns now that the bistro has opened, letting every guest feel honest, uncomplicated care. “Lian-Lian Chocolate and Snowflake Crisps are my must-tries; the ingredients are top-tier but the prices are down-to-earth,” Huang enthuses when talk turns to his signature cookies. “Simple, delicious, affordable—those are the three pillars of this place,” he adds, imagining every visitor leaving convinced they received more than their money’s worth while he balances premium produce with friendly price tags. The menu is generous: beyond the pastries and teas that drive dessert-lovers wild, you’ll find Chinese and Western comfort foods. “We want guests to enjoy the widest possible spread,” Huang remarks, underscoring his customer-first philosophy and unwavering resolve. Even with such variety, sourcing stays scrupulous; cookies and cakes are baked fresh daily in an open-view kitchen so diners can relax and indulge. Torn between craving great food and minding your wallet? A visit to Fei Fei Bistro might solve the dilemma. Must-try items: French custard cream puffs, Premium Taiwanese tea series
