Urban dwellers, constantly under pressure and living a fast-paced life, always hope to find a way to fully relax during their time off. Some choose cycling, some want to sing their hearts out, some become hikers, and others simply indulge in a hearty meal. However, becoming a weekend farmer is the latest emerging leisure trend. With your feet stepping on natural soil, your hands loosening compacted earth, and seeds placed one by one into the ground, you can enjoy the fruits of your labor come harvest time. Chaozhou Citizen Farm has 160 rental plots, each about 20 ping in size. Once rented, tenants can freely choose what vegetables, flowers, or fruit trees they wish to grow, following the organic farming methods recommended by the farm owner to tend their produce in the healthiest way possible. Throughout the farming process, nature will surely dissolve the stress accumulated in your heart without a trace.
