Yingda Ecological Leisure Farm is located in Chengde Village, Wanluan Township, Pingtung County, covering about 50 hectares at an altitude of roughly 100 m. Rows of mahogany and Manila tamarind encircle the property, while ponds, lawns, and orchards laid out inside attract a wealth of wildlife, presenting an environment saturated with pristine nature. Stargazing, bird-watching, and listening to insects and frogs promise visitors unforgettable memories. The dense green canopy provides ideal habitat for birds; surveys count more than 160 plant species and over 60 avian species. Regular sightings include the black-naped monarch, streak-breasted scimitar babbler, greater racket-tailed drongo, grey-capped pygmy woodpecker, red collared-dove, black-browed barbet, emerald dove, crested serpent-eagle, black kite, common moorhen, common kingfisher, and white-breasted waterhen. In winter the brown shrike also appears, while the rare and protected maroon oriole and black-naped oriole—especially the latter—can be seen year-round only here and at National Pingtung University of Science and Technology in the entire Pingtung area. Facilities inside the farm include a conservation zone, lychee orchard, ornamental plant garden, campground, and a landscape of woods, hills, and ponds—a serene, mountain-and-water setting worthy of savoring every blade of grass, every insect and bird, every message carried by stars, moon, clouds, and wind.
