Liancheng Lotus Garden is located at the foot of the mountain in Nanhua Village, Jianshuiang Township, Hualien County. The cultivation area covers approximately one hectare. The irrigation water is sourced from the natural spring of Chilei Mountain, introduced through the Piguaxi Stream, which is crystal clear and pure with a water temperature consistently below 20°C all year round, making it ideal for lotus growth. The garden features over 60 varieties of lotus, 16 types of water lilies, and more than 70 species of aquatic plants. The garden blooms with lotuses in various colors throughout the year, exuding a fragrant atmosphere that is visually stunning. The garden is divided into several areas, including the Lotus Area, Victoria Lily Area, Water Lily Area, Aquatic Plants Area, Guanyin Lotus Area, and a Night-Blooming Lotus Area. The garden primarily focuses on research and development of lotus varieties and related species. Operated as a public park, entry is free and complimentary lotus tea is provided. Upon request, detailed ecological introductions about lotuses are also offered for visitors, making it an ideal destination for families to enjoy floral scents and scenery.
