Daxi is famous for its crescent-shaped winding bay, blue and clear seawater, and it's a common spot for couples to take romantic photos. The bay is also known as "Honeymoon Bay". Visitors can stroll on the soft sand beach, pick up pebbles to play with, or search for the fast-moving ghost crabs, which is full of romantic atmosphere. The north and south sides of Honeymoon Bay are distributed with reef rocks, and only a small part in the middle is a fine soft sand beach. In addition to the beautiful scenery and opportunities for water activities and sightseeing, the bay is vast, and the seafloor terrain hundreds of meters away from the coast has a great undulation. The waves often surge 2 or 3 meters high, making it a paradise for water activities and surfing. Every year, many extreme challengers come here to participate in the national surfing competition. From the trailhead next to Ming Shan Temple, it takes about 30 minutes to reach the nearby Ying Shi Jian, which is 441 meters high. After climbing up, you can look out at the distant Gui Shan Island, overlook the magnificent bay, and have a broad and beautiful view, which is another option for admiring the scenery.
